The Shady Llama - WIMBERLEY

This was my first visit, and it certainly didn't disappoint – although I did miss being greeted by llamas! The view is wonderfully relaxing, and I really enjoyed the beer. The food truck served absolutely delicious food! The ground beef taco was one of the best I've ever had: flavorful, fresh, and just the right portion for my hangry self. My husband ordered the burger, which was also excellent. He dug in so quickly that I couldn't even snap a picture for my review! I had the pleasure of chatting with the food truck owner, who was incredibly sweet and genuinely grateful for my feedback.

I visited this place recently and absolutely loved it! The views are incredible. There are several seating areas where you can chat with friends or family under the oak trees, and it's very dog-friendly, which is a big plus for us as we look for places that welcome both dogs and kids. There's a fun bean bag toss to play, colorful hammocks in the trees where you can relax and watch the sunset, and the unisex bathrooms are super clean. They also have a great selection of beer and wine. The llamas are a unique and fun attraction, but the atmosphere, service, and stunning views are what really make it special. I'm looking forward to returning to Shady Llama on our next trip to the area. Just a heads up: if you visit in July, be sure to bring plenty of water or come later in the evening, as it can get extremely hot!

This is a beer garden featuring a food truck called Gringas Grub Shak. I absolutely loved the atmosphere here, with hammocks, stunning views, and even llamas on the property. The food and beer were delightful, perfect for a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived just after they opened, and the seating areas were spacious. There were four llamas in the back, and we were happy to learn that we could feed them by chatting with the bar staff.

Cool little outdoor spot with drinks, views and a food truck. Loads of regional beers on tap, several ciders and wine as well. The view at sunset is spectacular and the llamas and donkeys are friendly!

The best sunset around! Great beer, good food. Bathrooms are A/C which is excellent in the summer. I just wish they would install a change table in one of the bathrooms! We love coming here with our kids to enjoy the day, feed some llamas, and takein the hill county.
