Kings New York Pizza - Winchester

I ordered from King's New York Pizza because of their excellent online reviews. However, when the $34 pizza arrived, my first reaction was, "Really?!" It was a white pizza with double cheese and two toppings. Unfortunately, the "double cheese" stopped about 3 inches from the crust, and the sparse toppings seemed to have been added by the Grinch. I didn’t even order soggy tomatoes, but they were there anyway. I understand that restaurants are struggling due to COVID-19, but shortchanging customers is a recipe for failure. You may have saved $1.25 in ingredients, but you've lost my future business. It's a classic case of being penny wise and pound foolish.

I had an excellent experience overall. The restaurant was very clean and had ample seating, plus they offer delivery. I tried the chicken piccata and the stromboli, and I am absolutely hooked! The chicken was served with a light, homemade lemon sauce over spaghetti. The stromboli has quickly become my new weekend favorite! It's wonderfully cheesy in a classic New York style, which I adore! It's large enough to serve as a meal for two, but also makes a fantastic appetizer for a small gathering.

I was quite disappointed with my recent order. I got a medium pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. The menu states that delivery is free for orders over $15, but I ended up being charged $3 for delivery, even though my motel is only 2.2 miles away. I also ordered Italian dressing for my salad; however, I was charged an extra dollar for it even though I didn't request it. On top of that, the delivery arrived 25 minutes late and the food wasn't very warm. To make matters worse, my pizza had only one piece of pepperoni on one of the slices!

Ordered a spicy Hawaiian and two cheese steak subs and cheese fries!!! The only con I have is the pizza was sloppy all the toppings slid off the pizza when trying to pick it up even after I recut the slices but the topping combination of the spicy Hawaiian absolute masterpiece. The cheese steak subs 5 outta 5 stars they were delicious. The cheese fries were lackluster but I will say they were evenly coated with cheese throughout the dish. All in all Kings does a fantasticjob but the spicy Hawaiian would be so much better if the toppings would just stay on the pie very hard for my children to enjoy their pizza when the toppings slide off onto the floor or table but my mastiff was happy to clean up the mess

I just enjoyed a sub and the seafood pasta, and I have to say, I wasn't expecting much, but it was incredible! To top it all off, the service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and hardworking, making this place truly special. Hats off to the team at Kings in Winchester! I’d give 5 stars for both the food and the service. While the atmosphere could use some improvement, the restaurant is very clean and tidy, with plenty of space for dining with a group.
