Village Cafe Restaurant & Bar

Disappointing food, I ordered Eggs on Toast (2 eggs fried, poached or scrambled on thick toast) with bacon. $12 $4 for bacon $3 GF toast, plus a Large cappuccino with almond milk $6.80. Service at the counter was pleasant. The Cafe was reasonably busy, and the wait for food not too bad, about 10 minutes. Server was OK. The food itself had no presentation, 'toast ' was uncooked and cold, and I had to go in search of Salt and Pepper. I sent my plate back so they could toast the bread. It had a feel to it that was if it was in a toaster maybe 30 seconds, which only resulted in a dry feeling to it, but no colour. It came back a moment later exactly the same, still cold, no colour. I asked 'is this toasted? ' She said yes. I asked if she could toast it please. It came back and they hadn 't toasted it, they 'd put it in a sandwich press, as it was flattened, and only lightly toasted. So much for thick toast? On the plate, was the toast, eggs, and bacon. No garnish, seasoning, sauce, or anything to dress it. The butter came in an individual sachet for me to butter myself. Incredibly lacklustre and boring dish, not worthy of selling in a restaurant/Cafe. The coffee options for size show a large or small takeaway cup on the counter. I ordered a large cappuccino with almond milk. Presentation was good, coffee was nice. There 's no way the cup size could be called large. It 's maybe 220-250ml. I cannot recommend this place at all. The chef should be embarrassed.

Sorry to say the day we were there the last of the chips were soggy and the fish was dry I could not eat them.

Our recent visit was a mixed experience. The service was pleasant, with attentive and friendly staff. However, the food, including overcooked eggs Benedict, burned halloumi and hash brown, and stale sourdough, fell short of our expectations.

Terrible place to eat. Looooot of rats in the restaurant. I don't recommended. The worst experience in Airle Beach

Beautiful food and very nice experience with the Hot Rock! This is Something i highly recommend. Staff were very friendly.
