River City Eatery - Windom

We swung in to RCE for a lunch stop on our drive back to Minneapolis. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with bright colors and some vintage pieces nodding to the history of the town and this specific space as a bakery in the past. You order at the counter and they offer soups, sandwiches, wraps, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and ice cream! My son opted for grilled cheese and tomato soup which he loved. I had the vegetable beef soup and CBR wrap which were both fresh and flavorful. A really nice change up from so many deep fried options along the road. Would definitely recommend making a stop for lunch if you're in the Windom area!

Food took a while because of large group ahead of us , the garlic knots could have used more garlic otherwise was great

Was just passing through looking for a bite to eat and was SO HAPPY we found this spot. There were too many great options on the menu to choose from, plenty of good veggie options too! The Mac and Cheese Brisket was unbelievable and the service was so friendly and great. The decor was so fun too! Such fun decorations and designs.

We were passing through and needed to grab a quick lunch so glad we stopped here! DELICIOUS, fresh tasting menu options, and even our two young kids were happy. Cute decor and a homey vibe. Locals are lucky to have this place in their community! We drive through once or twice a year and will be sure to stop again!

Was driving from MN to NE and found this little place via reviews and LOVED it. Friendly staff, great menu, and delicious food. Highly recommended! Pro-tip: You can order online! We got the Chicken Dance (YUM YUM YUM) and the Modern Grilled!
