My wife and I came for breakfast. They offered only a few gluten-free options. The food was ok, the prices were good. I'd prefer McDonald's over this location, but I'd return for another meal.
This menu is nothing fancy but hits the spot if your hungry. The deserts and soup are homemade and wonderful. The rest is consistently edible- plain home-style cooking- hot sandwiches, fish, fries, clubhouse etc. Good service- friendly and accommodating. Cost is mid range.
We needed to find a place to eat breakfast, so, being tourists we were driving aimlessly around Windsor on Sunday morning. Hard to find anything open there, but we got lucky when my wife seen the restaurant sign. Quite hard to see actually. The place was empty at 10:30 AM. Totally empty. They have an all day breakfast so we ordered. The usual breakfast fare. Eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, pan fries (deep fried tho) and coffee. It arrived very quickly, and nice and hot. Nice size coffee mugs, great tasting hot coffee, and free refills. We enjoyed it very much and the ladies working there were very friendly. We thought it strange that it was empty and asked about that, as we thought it was attached to a motel. Turns out the motel is actually a seniors residence, it does look like a big motel, and the restaurant is an extension of their eating area. All in all, I would recommend this nice place to anyone who likes good food and relaxed atmosphere.
Good homestyle food. Fresh soups and pies, decent fish dishes. Cheap cold draught and lots of parking. Great daily specials most under $10
