This was my first experience at Tommy Gun's and I was impressed by the fast and courteous staff. The band, Tou Rock, played tonight and they were fantastic. Thank you for the excellent service, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will definitely be returning in the future!
The drinks and music were fantastic, the atmosphere was well-maintained, and I am looking forward to returning.
Had enjoyed meals here with family whenever passing thru Windsor... but sadly this past Friday will be our last. My husband ordered sClubhiuse and I the grilled haddock fillet with mashed potatoes which we both had had before. My husband ordered a specific beer but it was obvious it was draft in a glass with the brand name on it. Not what he was expecting. When the food came we were underwhelmed to say the least. My husband who has owned 3 restaurants in Halifax was not particularly impressed. What was on his plate was simply a chicken sandwich with processed chees~ NOT a clubhouse sandwich
Although the piece of fish in my 1 piece Cockney Fish Chips ordered was large and nice and hot, it was sitting on the french fries, which became soft and not at all crispy from the fat dripping off the fried fish. My wife had the Mushroom Spinach Melt which she enjoyed. Overall the service and food were good except when the hostess seated us on entering the restaurant. She more or less threw the menus on the table after pointing it to us and walked away without a word of welcome. Perhaps she was having a bad day. The restaurant's biggest plus was that it was within walking distance from the B B at which we stayed.
