Both of them were outstanding and you can taste the effort the chef has put into the dishes. This is probably the best tonkasu in melbourne.
Had the striploin, even takeaway it was so good! I need to try the rib eye tonkatsu next, which is supposed to be better!
We had such a wonderful meal at Ton Co over the weekend, and glad we tried their amazing pork tonkatsu.<br/ <br/ Perfectly cooked and crumbed, tender and juicy that’s how you’ll get to enjoy your choice of tonkatsu. You can choose either their ‘Pork Ribeye cut Tonkatsu’ or ‘Pork Striploin cut Tonkatsu. The ribeye is tender and juicy with a higher fat content, while the striploin is leaner. If you’re trying this for the first time, try out both to share to see which one you prefer! And although both are delicious, we ended up loving the striploin more!<br/ <br/ Apart from getting their house made tonkatsu sauce, you can also choose from a selection of sauces/add ons. We ordered the Ribeye with Nagoya style Dark Miso sauce and the Striploin with Ebi Katsu (with tartare sauce) so good!<br/ <br/ We also loved their Ox Tongue skewers and Japanese Potato Salad which has an extra kick to it! Be sure to try these!!! Lastly we completed our meal with a glass of honey plum wine and a refreshing beer <br/ <br/ Truly, truly enjoyed our feast here!
Yes ,They are pork tonkatsu specialist ! I loves the way they are ,every dish made with love and passion ,perfect cooked and good quality of pork . Juicy and tender this is the best pork katsu in Melbourne ,i think :
Went with a mate of mine, I ordered the pork rib eye cut tonkatsu which came with tonkatsu sauce and side of white cabbage and honey sesame sauce and he ordered the rib eye with ebi katsu (prawn) cutlet. Also ordered ox tongue skewers and chicken thigh skewers. The tonkatsu meat was delicious, not dry, tender, full of flavor, good fat content with that crumb, was superb, the tonkatsu sauce was balanced with sweet and sour and the honey sesame sauce that came with the cabbage was the best sesame dressing I’ve ever had. The ox tongue which was an 18hr cook the best I’ve had and I’ve had a fair few, this one was nice and tender, each mouthful was heaven with that tare sauce, togarashi and sesame oil. The chicken thigh was good but if I had to order skewers again I’d go with ox tongue. Overall I found this place excellent, service was excellent, they apologized for the rush as it was getting busy which was fine. I’d definitely come back
