Caffe Nero - Windsor and Maidenhead

I have lived in Windsor for 5 years and used to come here frequently but am sad to say it has gone downhill a LOT in recent months. The coffee tastes burnt and has done for some months (not as good as other Caffè Neros, which is usually good for a chain), and the service is pretty slow and quite rude/abrupt. The facilities are also dingy toilets frequently dirty and smelly. A shame as they have nice space/seating. Many other better coffee establishments in town now.

Staff are quite rude and not friendly at all. One staff was cleaning a toilet 15 mins before closing time. I asked how long the cleaning will take and she answered “I don’t know”. So I waited for 10 mins in front of the toilet. Another customer came up and asked her again about the toilet and the staff said “the toilet is closed. You can’t use it.” The staff definitely saw customers queuing for the toilet but didn’t say anything. I always liked Cafe NERO in other towns. But I wouldn’t recommend this one.

We have been here a few times. The coffee is good for a large chain but the premises are dark and dingy and really need a refurbishment. I would recommend the Nero at the station which is much more comfortable.

I've had many lattes in many cities/countries/homes. This one is definitely high on my list of favourites. I went there 3 of 5 mornings while I was in the area. I would have gone the other 2 days had I had the time!

The staff is extremely rude and they are so unwelcoming . Their attitude becomes even worse after 5.30 pm . It has been really bad since April 2021. It is beyond belief. I haven’t been there so long I have forgotten how bad they can be. I went there today with a friend’s suggestion and once again remembered why I was avoiding them.
