Traditional pub grub. Nice, tasty food chicken mushroom pie, steak ale pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding ginger pudding custard. Drinks were local ale were fine. The staff seemed genuinely friendly took order served food quickly. The only downsides: The table was sticky (with beer stains? and obviously not very well cleaned before our arrival. The pub is quite noisy in the evening (8 pm with what I assume are the several pub regulars both male female propping up the bar and talking so loudly we felt our quiet conversation in the corner of the adjacent bar was being drowned out!
