Puerto Rico - Windsor Heights

I had been wanting to try this restaurant because it is in my neighborhood and I had never tried Puerto Rican food before. After hearing great reviews about their signature Cubano sandwich, I decided to order it for dinner along with some fries. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was hoping for flavors similar to Mexican cuisine. I found the sandwich to be bland and lacking in taste. It seemed as though the meat wasn't seasoned at all. I enjoy spicy food, not necessarily just heat, but flavor from spices. I couldn't detect any spices in the sandwich. I'm not sure if this is indicative of all Puerto Rican cuisine, but this experience has left me hesitant to return and try other dishes. Those who prefer milder flavors may enjoy their food, but I probably won't be back.

The food is tasty and fresh! The service is excellent. The wait can be a bit long, but the freshly baked food is definitely worth it! Long live Puerto Rico!

The dining experience at this restaurant is exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Puerto Rican restaurant in the city. Why settle for junk food when you can enjoy a healthy meal here. The staff is fantastic and there is live music along with a fully stocked bar.

If you do not know what to pick from all their wonderful options, do yourself a favor and get their pernil. It is so good. The pernil mofongo with arroz con grandules (rice with pigeon peas) is . If you go to have dine in service, please be advised that the service is on the slower side. I would be careful with going here for lunch if you only have a 30 minute lunch. I will say, if you do dine in, once you get the food, you partially forget about how long you waited because the food is definitely worth it.

I was there yesterday and I love the food was a very friendly place and the I definitely recommend to everyone specially if you looking for a real puertorican food
