Healthy choices and not a lot of grease - you taste the authentic food. You get a lot of food for the money, and remember - everything is made fresh. Some fresh food places charge a fortune for their foods, and at this point - fast food is equally expensive. I'd rather get a $15 entree that includes A LOT of food and is all fresh, locally sourced and made each day over something over processed and full of fat.
The food is all freshly made and the owners are the nicest people. The food is delicious and we think the Palenque is a really awesome place. Sincerely, Karl and Deborah Kloos
First time dining here. It was Saturday evening. Restaurant very busy. Service was outstanding and very attentive. Food was colorful and fresh. Portions were on the large scale. Was worth trying and will return. Owner came to our table several times to ensure our dining needs were met. Patrizia was very friendly. The restaurant is run by her and her spouse.
Went during the week to Palenque on the recommendation of friends, as a good place for Mexican food. Got in the restaurant to find another friend who couldn't say enough about the food. Sat down and had their Special of the day, fish tacos with mahi-mahi and yuca fries. Had a bowl of the Chicken Tortilla soup, which was excellent. The tacos we're delicious with wonderful fresh toppings and just a bit of spicy flavour. The yuca fries were good, but different. A definite first for that type of fry. The staff were very nice, attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is small and I hear is quite busy on weekends. A definite place to come back to.
My brother, brother-in-law and I decided to go for dinner and try this Mexican restaurant. We were not disappointed. The ambiance is comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My brother-in-law travels with a small service dog and this restaurant is service dog friendly. We ordered three different meals, chimichanga, chicken milanesa, and a burrito. The chimichanga was delicious and large in size, actually all the portions were large in size. The chicken milanesa was delicious as well. I asked for no beans and no rice and asked to substitute for salad. They did this but said there would be an extra charge, I don't believe I should have been charged extra considering I didn't get the beans and rice. That meal cost me $19 instead of the original $17.The burrito, like the other meals was absolutely delicious. We also ordered deep fried ice cream for dessert. It was incredible. It was nicely presented. I will definitely order that again.Everything was wonderful at the restaurant, the only drawback was the charge for substituting the salad.
