River's Edge Tap & Table - Windsor

I recently visited this restaurant with friends and family. When we walked in, we were greeted by great music and a lively atmosphere. After a bit of dancing, we settled in at a table. However, we quickly noticed that the establishment was not as clean as we would have liked, even for a bar. We took it upon ourselves to tidy up the area before deciding on our orders. Our server, Kelly, unfortunately put a damper on our experience. She was noticeably rude to some members of our group for no apparent reason. Despite these setbacks, we were in good spirits and excited to be trying out the restaurant, with some of us visiting for the first time. Despite the issues with cleanliness and service, I would still recommend giving this place a try, in the hopes of getting a better server next time.

The food lacked flavor, with the fish and rice tasting bland and the vegetables tasting like they were frozen. They had a good selection of beers. The staff were friendly, but the service was not exceptional.

What has happened to this restaurant?! This used to be one of our favorite places to eat. The food was always good and the service was excellent. However, yesterday was a completely different experience. It took the server 20 minutes to come to our table and give us menus, even though she had seen us waiting without greeting us with a smile. She then informed us that there was a 45-1 hour wait for our food. Despite this, we decided to stay and asked if an appetizer would take as long, to which she just shrugged her shoulders. Our food eventually arrived in less than half an hour, but the server was extremely unpleasant and rude. She dropped off our food without any condiments and did not return until we had finished eating. Unfortunately, the food was dry and hard, barely edible. We will not be coming back. What a shame.

The food was amazing! The fried fish was so fresh and light. I could have eaten five of these fish.

Dress up warm and enjoy the terrace when closing. I appreciate her vegetarian options and warm alcoholic drinks, but I also like my beer to stay cold.
