The restaurant is clean and has convenient on-site parking. It is family-run, open for breakfast and lunch, closing at 7pm daily and closed on Mondays. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the service was old-fashioned and friendly. We will definitely be returning.
This breakfast restaurant is our favorite spot to go to. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel like you're at home. The food portions are huge and tasty, just like a home-cooked meal. The big breakfast is served on two separate plates, and the pancakes are topped with fresh fruit, cinnamon, and chocolate. The presentation of their dishes is as good as they taste. Seeing the food right away makes your mouth water and you know it's going to be delicious!
What a charming little restaurant with a nostalgic diner ambiance. The dishes were made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The homemade fries were particularly outstanding and the service was quick and welcoming.
A friend recommended this place because it's been there forever, and has always been good...and I couldn't agree more. First item I tried was the Gyro, and I went back the next week for the same thing. De-fricken-licious. My fiance is a vegetarian, and she...loves the fresh ingredients and sauces. The prices are excellent as well. Things to know if you are a first time customer: It's old and dated...don't be scared...the delicious food covers for the weathered decor. They are currently changing owners, but the new owner gave me the inside scoop. The previous owner refused to sell unless the new ones learned how to make all the meats and ingredients. So everything is traditional and will taste exactly how you remember it. Seriously, when is the last time you went to a sandwich shop that made their own meats. The menu is a bit chaotic, but it's okay. I asked the owner what he recommended, and went from there. It's my favorite thing to do at a restaurant...ask them to make your food exactly how they would want it. Obviously they know what tastes best. As well, the new owners vowed that they are creating a newer, easy to read menu. You might as well try it out....You've already read this far. I freaking love good food, and highly recommend this place. Just get the gyro and fries or salad. You'll be happy and full.
It's a bit hard for me to be objective about this place - it carries a tonne of nostalgia for me.
