Whiskey Dick's Saloon - Winhall

Unfortunately no longer a thing, great place to get together with friends. Will be missed!

We used to come here when it was the outback and decided to give it a try for dinner on the deck.....sign said wait for the hostess for seating (we were early, few here yet) but we could not find the hostess so we wandered around for a while and finally someone (who had been gardening somewhere i expect) came and got us a seat on the dick....irene, the hurricane that is, had sort of rearranged the view as the winhall river which used to flow right by is now flowing quite a ways off so the view is not the same, we had drinks,ok, and dinner, the wedge salad and the kenny (big) burger were both very good, service was ok and the place is looking a little tired, but the food was quite good.

Nice place for pub food and drink that tastes well above average for this kind of environment. Everything I had tasted great.

Great place, live music, games, pool, outdoor deck, cool staff, easy to get to right off main road, can't ask for more, except a NY Rangers hockey game! (but that's just VT telecrap companies fault). If you complain about this place, you should probably stay in the big city you live in. It would sure do the staff and other cool, laid back patrons a favor. And I live in NYC and the service was excellent here, perhaps some of these bitchy reviews had the picky, high maintenance sign on them when they walked in.
