Contribuisci feedbackHello TrippysThis Boston location has great service, great pizza and is great for kids. We really enjoyed the veggie pizza. It's super awesome. They also give kids a Activity book to do while they're waiting for food which is awesome. There is also a toy chest were kids can choose a toy. Very very kid friendly! My review helps you in your travels give me a thumbs up.
Went above and beyond tonight accommodating some special meal requests that we had. Boston pizza is always a great choice for me and the location on Henderson was a nice one. The server Shae was top notch and it was a really nice evening. The wait time to be seated was only about 15 minutes at 6:30 on a Thursday.
Summary:Our meal was almost ruined by a server who didn't want to be there. We watched as other tables were served well by other servers. After escalating to a Manager service improved considerably. The food was excellent the the manager tried to make up for it. Thank goodness for the manager and the good food.We left happy with the food, and the efforts by the efforts of the manager. We may be back, but we hope we don't get the same server.Details:Food-------Our family has been eating at Boston Pizza for a years. This was the first time at this restaurant however. We were very pleased with the food. My 12 year old said it was the best Boston Pizza meal ever. My wife commented how she cleaned up her entire plate of 7 cheese ravioli, something she doesn't often manage to do. I very much enjoyed my Jumabalya Fettucini. Not only was it delicious but I couldn't eat it all. Boston Pizza had started to go down hill for a while, the food had degraded to the point we were avoiding it; however the past 3 times we have been we have seen a marked improvement in the quality of the food.Family Friendliness-------------------------Boston Pizza is generally very good with families. Except for the issues we had with our server (see service below) this was also a good experience. Boston pizza provides activities and crayons for the kids to do while they are waiting on their food. They have an excellent childrens menu that even satisfies my 12 year old, with kid friendly dishes. And on the way out they have a toy chest where the children are allowed to take a small toy.Pricing---------Boston Pizza has unfortunately raised their prices a fair bit in the past few years. My Jumbalaya Fettucini for instance cost $17.99, I would expect the dish to run $12.99, and for a long while they charged $14.99, but have bumped it. The pizzas also cost a lot compared to other chain restaurants. In Boston Pizza's defense however their pizza is better than most, second only to Santa Lucia in Winnipeg. They have priced the appetizers out of range however, we normally enjoy Thai Chicken bites, but have stopped as they have raised the cost for the 8 strips (one thin chicken breast) to over $12.The childrens meals are very well priced however, providing for a drink, the entree and dessert. In addition Boston had multiple specials going on we could have taken advantage of including an $18.99 2 course meal including pasta, and either an appetizer OR dessert (had it been both I would have chosen this). We also took advantage of multiple other Boston Pizza offers including purchasing a $50 gift card and getting a bonus $10 card (20% off), plus we had our kids card discount.Atmosphere and Wifi---------------------------Boston Pizzas are generally very similar inside with a classic restaurant layout, and sports decorations and tvs. It was clean, and there was no pressure to tell the children to be quiet (though there was no need on this occasion). There was a Boston Pizza wifi service, but it was locked. Not sure if this was for patrons or not, but it would be nice if the password was available or the network was not locked.Service----------My family of 5 visited this Boston Pizza after my sons last soccer game. The server was outright rude at first. She performed only the bare minimum, with neither a smile nor even a welcome or hello. After our drinks arrived she wouldn't even glance at our table to see if we were out of drinks. She seemed very much like she didn't want to be there. Our family eats out more than we probably should, we have had poor service before, but never a server as cold as this one. After taking our orders we got "K" instead of "thank you, I will get that right away". Other servers seeing us looking around the restaurant came to check on us, but not our own.My wife commented multiple times on the waitress asking me if I was seeing what she was seeing, like the waitress rolling her eyes while my children ordered (12,11, and 6) they were exceptionally well behaved, it wasn't them. When we finally flagged down the manager, she was very good. My intent had been to request a new waitress, as another waitress had offered to refill our drinks for us and was very friendly. The manager thought it was because this waitress was not "bubbly", that wasn't it, I've eaten at restaurants in Europe, servers aren't bubbly or friendly, but they provide service and don't grumble or roll their eyes or ever give you reason to think that they are doing you a favour by serving you.The manager said she would speak to the server after we left, the server must have seen the manager talking as service was a little bit better after that. She avoided us for about 10 minutes then started checking on our drinks, and continued to improve. Again the manager was also checking in on us, and that might have been a clue to the server. By the end of the night she was very friendly with the children taking them to the back.Hopefully this waitress was just having a bad day, or this event will have caused her to change how she behaves. Her behavior however put a very negative spin on an otherwise excellent night, in effect ruining the evening. Everything that came good of the evening was really in spite of that poor start.
Previous experience was not a pleasant one. I was served Fettuccine Alfredo with almost no sauce. Showed it to the server and got more sauce BUT....was charged $2.00 for Alfredo sauce that should have been on the pasta when it was served. We also had to endure "screaming, whining kids" at the next table for the entire time. It was not an enjoyable dining experience. This recent visit was much more satisfying. We were in a quiet corner booth and had a great server named "Tianna". We all ordered the Wednesday l0-inch pizza -- thin crust and choice of toppings, for $8.99. Draft beer was $3.99. We topped this off with a yummy brownie & ice cream dessert, along with flavored herbal tea. Thanks to Tianna, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit this time.
Great! Food was fresh and delicious and our server was lovely
