We arrived before dawn, chatted with the barista, ordered our drinks, and set off for a sunrise walk. The drip coffee was smooth, the service was impeccable and personalized (she remembered us and our orders every single day!), and I had the delight of being introduced to the Canadiano—a delightful mix of drip coffee and a shot of espresso. Our visits to Harrison’s were a highlight of our trip. I highly recommend enjoying your drink of choice alongside a leisurely stroll by the river as the sun rises. However, if you prefer a more relaxed experience, this cozy spot offers a quiet and peaceful ambiance.
Fantastic lattes! If you have the opportunity to try their chocolate, it will amaze you! Al puts in a lot of effort to source his coffee and cocoa beans, ensuring fair trade practices. The locations in the city are excellent. Please note: there is no free parking available, and the venue is wheelchair accessible for strollers.
This is a lovely cafe to grab a cup of tea before exploring The Forks. It's charming and a bit quieter than the main cafe located there. The staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside is that there are no power outlets or Wi-Fi available if you're looking to study.
Disappointed and underwhelmed.I gave them two stars, as I like the hot chocolate I had from them last winter. But yesterday’s experience was subpar, went on a Saturday evening. We were the only customers there, and there were two staff working. They rang my friend’s order first. Since there were two of them (which is usual for a coffee shop). I went right up to the till after my friend to give my order. The two of them were both at the bar, chatting and making two drinks which took longer than it should and is not a two-person job (I know that because I used to be a barista). I waited by the ordering area for 3+ minutes. (People may think it’s not a long time. But we were the only people there, and since there are two of them, why can’t they take my order right after my friend’s then proceed to their chatter by the bar. It gives a poor impression of the baristas and the cafe by ignoring a customer that was clearly in plain view and for the customers to hear the baristas chatting nonstop by the bar). One of them finally rang my order, got the size of my drink wrong, and made it quicker than my friend’s. Midway through making my drink another customer came and they quickly attended to him. So, I want to understand why they had to make me wait when they can clearly do better than that? This may appear petty to some, but the service was subpar and the drinks were mediocre, too – which I didn’t expect because I liked the last one I had before.PSMy friend, who was also an ex-barista, said that maybe one of the staff are on break. Then they shouldn’t have been on the floor, and if they’re helping the other, shouldn’t it be faster than what happened?
