You can choose 10 rolls from 101-108 on the menu and also comes with a Sunflower roll and a Tiger roll. It is recommended for 4-5 people. Needless to say we had a lot of left overs haha! We also added a New Hampshire Roll. In total we had 13 rolls. Took one hour for them to make. All rolls were delicious! The only downside is that the tempura crumbs on the rolls were kind of soft by the time we brought it home. Definitely worth your money to order from here. In total came to $73.00.
Went to Ingko unexpectedly as another local establishment was renovating. What an unexpected surprise! Clean quiet setting and food was great. Subtle smoke in their salmon was wonderful and we really enjoyed their tiger rolls. Was a fast, fresh and inexpensive place to stop for some quality fresh sushi with a huge selection to keep you coming back to try something new.
A friend wanted to come here and I was like 'what '?? So I read a couple of reviews on Zomato and decided to give it a try. <br/ <br/ A hidden gem indeed! The restaurant is small but it has a cozy feel to it. They do not have a huge menu but the service was great! <br/ <br/ We had the takoyaki (deep fried squid balls) and it was delicious!! The shrimp tempura was really good too! Their sushi rolls were decent, and tasty. Their wasabi and pickled ginger could be better. <br/ <br/ All in all, a above average dining experience for reasonably priced sushi. I would come back for sure!
I think in the West Portage, St. James-Charleswood area Ingko is one of the best, if not the best. Last time I visited Ingko was when they first opened, it was a much smaller menu and of course, they had growing pains.<br/ <br/ I tried it again a few months ago and they've improved dramatically. More options, and the price isn't bad either for some combos. I get the small roll combo and you get 1 big sized roll and 2 regular rolls, which is more than enough for one person. Their bakudan rolls are tasty. The sunflower roll is great for vegetarians too!<br/ <br/ I like their blue ocean roll, there are similar (and same name) rolls in the city, they have an interesting take on theirs. They use a sweet chili sauce and a mustard sauce on top which provides an interesting flavour combination.<br/ <br/ Their rolls actually are on the bigger side, about 8 pieces instead of 6 depending on what you get.<br/ <br/ The food I've received from this place is always super fresh, great fish-to-rice ratio, and the rice is well seasoned. Thumbs up!
How Do You Say Ingko?. I still can't say the restaurant name. Only been there for lunch. It's great! Quick, cheap, friendly. What more do you want for sushi? Can someone phonetically say the restaurant name for me? IngKo? In gee ko? Ein-ge-ko? Ink-oh?
