I'm so glad that kendo Niwa is now with skip the dishes as we normally drive from st James for this place! We always order the same dishes as they are so delicious we get cravings... We love the beef and asparagus teriyaki appetizer, the tempura shrimp and mango salad and definitely our favourite rolls which are the TNT rolls - they are DYNAMITE! we love the spicy mayo used in some of the rolls and the mango salad, just the right about of sweet and spice! Service is always courteous and have been given complimentary edamame on occasion as we are regulars. I'm sure they will know who we are if they see this review. I was surfing the net and noticed they only have 3 reviews so I thought I should add one as well. We love to sit up front near the window. They have converted the tanto? seating to regular chairs now but I still prefer this quiet spot if its in winter time (although can be chilly) and they have accommodated us with heaters if too cold. In summer, WE LOVE the courtyard and patio area although in the evening the lights are too bright and kill the ambiance. If you can sit under umbrella it helps a bit.. This is the only thing that could be improved upon in my opinion.I recommend that you try this place, especially in summer if you enjoy strolling down corydon. *Please note there are 2 KENKO restaurants on corydon. This one is near daly and the old MTS building.. the other one is near the 7-11 at Arbuthnot st.

This is my favorite sushi place in Winnipeg, they offer a ton of selection and even offer a seaweed substitute for us seaweed haters ( they offer soy paper). The rolls are always fresh and delicious, and they come so quickly, not to mention they are decently priced so you don't have to break the bank going here. Best sushi place in town!

I like the freshness , choices, and the sushi is beautifully made. Restaurant is comfortable . My favourite is the lunch combos. Great value, and choice. Dragon roll ,tempura vegetables, spinach salad....

Food is excellent, staff is very friendly. Patio rocks in the summer. All round a good experience, every time!
