The 86 year old, iconic local restaurant chain (17 restaurants) brings back wonderful memories [to former "Winnipegers"] and continues to delight locals as well as visitors! Their "nip" is unique in name and quality... but their new "BIG EARL" with its 12 ounces of different meats and lost of condiments is a "most enjoyable challenge"!!! Definitely worth a visit!!!!
Hadn't been there in years but for sure will be back. Was there for breakfast and checked out the menu, great selection. Reasonable pricing and great service. The place was packed which tells you something.
Visited on Dec 17 in early afternoon, Had to wait about 20 mins, which was fine, but when we were seated, the server told us that we would have at least another 30 minutes to wait to get any food. Why weren't we told this by the greeter at the front? So we left
Had a clubhouse platter for $12.99, was very tasty. Came with fries and coleslaw. Soft drink $0.99. Also had reuben platter for $12.49. Lacked a lot of sauekrauk, but was good none the less. Fries and salad were the sides. Like how you get to choose between 6 different sides with your sandwiches. Service slow. No refills offered on drinks. Had to go to the till to pay for meal as the bill never did come to the table.
