Sous Sol - Winnipeg

Some dining experiences are hard to describe, this was one of them. From the moment we actually found the place down a back lane no with no signage it felt like we were going to an elegal speakeasy! I knew this was going to be special! The surroundings we're like we were in a hide out for the mob candles and Stone and eclectic antique mismatched tables and chairs. The food was amazing, unique and beautifully prepared. Duck that was melt in your mouth and lobster and scallops like I have never tasted. And we even got a free desert because the server thought we were waiting a bit long. The desert was an incredible a French cheese hazelnut combination with a port that was just the perfect finish. The server said they have never advertised and I know why they haven't had to! Only word of mouth and I get it, this place is hard to find, but worth the search! If I could give more stars I would!!

Came here for our monthly dinner club and it was one of the most delicious meals from start to finish I’ve had in a long time. Our server was friendly and attentive, and my flaming tiki drink was the cherry (or marshmallow) on top! Excellent all around

Atmosphere is cozy, inviting and unique. Service is lovely and casual. Food is classic and top-notch. Really enjoyed the cocktail menu as well. Can't wait to return!

This place is out of this world good! Food and drink are an experience as well as delicious. Eating at sous sol is a culinary adventure. It's ever evolving menu keeps every visit unique. Eat from miss match china well sipping a drink out of ornate tea cup, well at your beautiful old world table. Eric always makes us feel extra special and is the perfect host. Seriously can't say enough. Just go, you won't regret it.

We started off with drinks, and our host surprised us by setting my date's drink on fire, adding to the excitement of the evening. Then came the highlight of the night - the food. Our host guided us through the menu, and before we knew it, our table was filled with beautifully presented, delicious dishes that exceeded all expectations. Each bite was a delight, and we felt like we were dining on the Champs Élysées in Paris. As the night went on, our server caught wind of our anniversary and treated us to champagne in unconventional but endearing glasses. We couldn't help but laugh at the perfect moment we were experiencing. Our evening at Sous Sol was truly unforgettable, filled with exceptional food, impeccable service, and a cozy ambiance that made it the ideal spot for a date night or a special occasion. We left with hearts full of happiness and memories to cherish. Sous Sol is a must-visit for anyone looking for a perfect dining experience.
