State & Main Kitchen and Bar - Winnipeg

The service was excellent, but the rice bowls need to be improved. I ordered the butter chicken and was served a bowl of rice with a few pieces of chicken in sauce. I sent it back and was recommended the teriyaki bowl. It was slightly better with stir-fried vegetables, but the sauce was overwhelming and I didn't eat much of it.

My family and I visited a restaurant last night with a total of 8 people and were very disappointed. We waited a total of 2 hours from the time we entered until our food arrived. Our server was scarce and did not provide any explanation for the long wait. The restaurant was not busy, but we were seated near the front door and witnessed take-out orders being prioritized over our dining experience. I was shocked to discover that I was charged $9 for grey goose in my wodka and 7. I hope this is not their house vodka. Overall, it was a bad experience.

The small terrace was beautiful and the service was great. The food was pretty good overall. I tried the bark diver, which was delicious. The bungalow was a bit hard around the edges, but they did a great job switching to paper straws!

Eat is good. their sign says state and main kitchen and bar. they have two sections, a bar dining room. there were several T.V's in the dining room with all monitors that were split between two hockey games as bar. the others were diners, my granddaughter. I asked that the T.V in the dining room be switched to a tracking channel, something different than hockey. our first question was never followed, then we asked the hostess who delivered the same results. then came the manager who said what is displayed on the T.V's, comes from the office their channels are limited. the ambiente is therefore not beneficial for a pleasant evening meal. will not dinate there again.

Went for wings on wednesday, will not recommend. Wings was not ready to be served for 30min. On top of that, wings with unsatisfying dry and squishy when I bite through em. The chicken seemed like it was not cooked fresh seemed like it was...reheated multiple times in a mi microwaved
