Stella's au centre culturel - Winnipeg

I've tried this place twiceThe first time my son was 18 months old.

We had a late afternoon breakfast at Stella's. It was delicious. I had the Mexican breakfast, which had eggs, cheese, salsa, guacomole and hashbrowns. I also had the smoothie. It was all very filling and well-priced. The restaurant was also clean and charming. The service was great as well! They also have a lot of gluten free options.

My wife and dropped in for a salad and dessert. We chose the outdoor patio section which was lovely. The music was wonderful and the salad/desserts where very enjoyable. Thanks again, we'll be back soon.

Beautiful outdoor terrace with plenty of shade and wrought iron tables and chairs. Stage for entertainment was visible from all tables. The night we were there they had a very good folk duo with a bass fiddle and guitar. The guitar singer had a great voice! Very enjoyable to have dinner to such pleasant music. Service by Hailey was terrific. Food was out very quickly. The Dragon Bowl was awesome. With the added grilled shrimp it was indeed a very tasty meal. The Wolseley Salad was good, as well. The grilled salmon was okay but not stellar. Nice to have the focaccia served with it. There was even enough to share with my fiend who had the Dragon Bowl! Very pleasant evening all round.

I have been a few times and recently went twice in the same week and have had a similar experience. There is a nice variety of food choices available that should meet a range of preferences, from pancakes to beet soup, pasta and more. The food is light and the flavour is generally good, although I did not love the consistency of the beet soup, still it tasted very appropriate. The restaurant though busy did not feel crowded, perhaps because there are plenty of windows and an open concept kitchen. On the more negative side each time I have visited the services has been slow, not necessarily getting the food once the order is in, but actually getting the order placed. This is especially true if you have any questions. The kitchen can accommodate different requests for dietary needs which is a plus. Overall if you are tired of fast food and would like a nice sit-down meal Stella's should be on your list.
