My party of 4 ordered the dinner for 6 and we were blown away by the fresh and delicious dishes, each with its own unique flavors. The lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, veggies, noodles, and fried rice were all top-notch. I can't wait to come back! The value is on par with other Chinese restaurants.
We were all in the mood for Szechuan cuisine and this restaurant satisfied our craving. The hot and sour soup was incredibly spicy and full of flavor. The dishes like Moshi chicken, ginger beef, lemon chicken, and guylang were all served hot and were delicious. Our friend took her family there a few days later and they also enjoyed it. We can't wait to go back again.
The food was so good we went back twice in a week. Very clean and good service. The food is made with very good quality ingredients. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Ordered the Hot and Sour soup which was thick and spicy...full of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, sprouts, tofu, etc. Then had the chicken mooshu which came with freshly made pancakes and a plateful of veggies. Delicious! We also had the lemon chicken, ginger beef, mushroom fried rice, GaiLan in oyster sauce were so fresh and crisp. Prepared perfectly. Everything was so good. The lemon chicken and ginger beef were so flavorful. There was so much left over to take home for the next day. Could not believe how inexpensive it was. Guests we were with said it was the best Chinese food they've had in a long time. Very friendly service too!
Save your money. Ordered three times - wanted to be fair - and all times it was BAAAD! Asked for my money back after last order - I actually vomited - and they argued with me over the phone and refused to do anything. Hung up on me. The noodles were soggy, smelled rancid - you could even smell them when you were microwaving - definitely not stir-fry, definitely off (sour). If you are going to eat out in Fort Garry or south of the city, bypass this place! Eating out is supposed to be a treat. Treat yourself to something else!
Recently went to supper at the Szechuan Restaurant on Pembina Highway in Winnipeg with a group of 8 adults. Ordered a variety of items from the menu. Restaurant was very clean and the service was very good, right down to pouring the soup we ordered into the bowls at the table. Food was delivered to the table very quickly. We ordered both a deluxe wonton and hot and sour soup. Both soups were very good although the hot and sour soup was a little too spicy for me. Others thought it was just right. The wonton soup was excellent with lots of meaty wontons. Both soups disappeared quickly. Entrees included BBQ Pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, lemon chicken, steamed garlic broccoli, ginger beef, cantonese style chow mein, and sizzling beef. All were very good but the ginger beef and sizzling beef stood out in my mind. Ginger beef was crispy and spicy while the sizzling beef was so tender it literally melted in your mouth. Prices were very reasonable and portion size was hearty. No one left hungry and leftovers were quickly packed up for take home. Overall a solid two thumbs up for Szechuan.
