This Little Place - Winnipeg

We had a staff luncheon there and were able to pre order for 20. Food was hot, delicious, abundant and reasonably priced. Salads, soups, sandwiches, pizzas no one was dissatisfied.

Fun little place with some great food. Funky interior design.Our table had two sandwiches and be ready to eat - they are large! Come with a side veggie/pasta salad. Daily specials also available.We loved the sandwiches and will certainly come back. Only one server and the cook ran out a few dishes (he certainly seemed to know some regulars). Service was friendly; maybe could have been a bit more attentive.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I had mixed feelings after reading the reviews.First off, I love the look of the restaurant. It felt very welcoming and intimate.The woman who served us was not "Little Maria" but told us the history and was very friendly and warm. We ordered and were in a bit of a time crunch and they assured us it was no problem. It wasn't - our food came in a timely manner and we weren't rushed to eat or anything. We even had time for dessert.I found the meatball dish I had was too salty for my liking. I also ordered the Porchetta sandwich and was happy it came in a smaller size. I was not a big fan of the sandwich as I found it very fatty. But maybe it was supposed to be. Anyway, I would like to try this place again because I did really like the service and atmosphere.

Met up with a friend who works in the area for lunch. Looked online beforehand at the menu to see what was interesting. Small menu, but they seem to do small well. The place is a small café style restaurant. The food seems to come from some 5 star kitchen in the back.... Great food! Great Price.

I'm a huge pasta lover, so I was happy to see that Little Maria's had spinach manicotti when I went for lunch on my birthday. My friend and I were planning on getting dessert (the cannoli look amazing) but we were so full with glorious pasta that we couldn't fit any more! Honestly we both could have licked the plate clean.
