Wako Sushi Cafe - Winnipeg

This is hands down the best sushi I have ever had! There was so much food for such a low price. I have found my new favorite sushi spot. The rolls were incredibly delicious and the person who answered the phone was very friendly.

The Wako Roll was fantastic, but the Beach Roll was disappointing. It was supposed to have real crab, but instead, it had imitation crab. I couldn't eat it..yuck. Prices were reasonable, but the quality was inconsistent.

My favorite sushi spot in Winnipeg is Wako. While they mainly cater to take-out customers, I had no problem walking in and ordering (though they have limited seating and aren't really designed for dining in). The sushi is consistently delicious and the quality you get for the price is unbeatable. I've tried sushi at another place in Osborne Village and it doesn't even come close to comparing to Wako.

You really can't go wrong with these prices. Efficient and taste great. $2.99 for a California Roll amazing. All the reels we tried were great except those with red peppers. I think that's weird. The next time they were ready to be substituted... cucumbers and that was perfect for me. Owned and led by a friendly Korean family. There are a few tables for you to sit, but remember that they are a meeting place. So no washrooms or table service. Worth the money!

This is by far my favourite take-out sushi restaurant in Winnipeg. There are several rolls that are only $3 and they are the best tasting ones I've had, even at that price. The owners are always friendly both on the phone and in the restaurant!...Definitely recommend for anyone!
