Wasabisabi - Winnipeg

Wasabi's sushi is always so fresh and the presentation is beautiful. I am expecting and was pleased to see non-alcoholic beer on the menu as well as lots of options with cooked shrimp and vegetables.

We waited at least 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, would be acceptable if the restaurant wasn 't dead (Jets game). We got out first dish Yuzu Truffle Butterfish and wanted to try with Soy Sauce- server nowhere to be found, flagged down another server. He brought it for us, then gave a snooty remark saying we don 't serve that with the butterfish . Sorry, don 't really enjoy under the breath remarks about how to eat the food we pay for! We 've been to restaurants where the server explains this is the way the chef wanted us to try it, but this particular server made us feel like we were incompetent and not worthy to eat at their restaurant.

Very over priced for the amount of food. Presentation was fine, taste/flavours very good. Some gluten free but limited. Service was good prompt. Nice for an occasion but have no plans to return.

A little pricey or we would be here weekly! Great ambience, never busy at lunch but always need reservations for dinner if you want a table.

Nice down tempo music playing with fast service!! The rolls are plentiful and exciting and sashimi is fresh and scrumptious!
