I should of went with my gut feeling but it isn't easy transporting my elderly Mom so we stayed. The consume soup was terrible but the noodles that were in the soup tasted like chemical to me. The oil must be very old and it made it taste like the food was bad. We tried the fried rice and it wasn't very good either. Then nothing came out for the longest time. The egg roll had some black stuff in them and I wasn't sure what was in them so we didn't eat them. We ordered the dinner for 4 so we had many dishes. The lemon chicken batter was raw and the chicken was overdone. We didn't want to be there any longer so we asked for take out containers. The lady brought out the containers but they felt slimy. That was the end of it. We left all the dished on the table and left. We didn't even taste the shrimp or chow mien dish. My husband told her that we didn't enjoy the food and she still charged us $60.00. Save your money and find another place. Will never go back again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30
I arrived at this restaurant at 12pm for the lunch buffet and was the only customer there. The lights were off and there was no staff in sight. Eventually, I was seated but there were no ladles or tongs available for the food trays. After sitting down with my food, I discovered a long, disgusting hair in it. The food was bland and seemed to be a day or two old. It was dry and crusty, making me question the safety of the establishment throughout my meal. I do not recommend dining here and will not be returning.
The Chinese food at this restaurant used to be excellent, but it feels like it was in another galaxy a long time ago.
I entered the restaurant, despite the sign saying it was open, to find a dimly lit dining room with only the light shining over the pay station. A man who seemed to speak no English was sitting in the dark, and when I asked if they were open, he appeared frustrated. I was about to leave when a woman emerged from the kitchen and confirmed they were indeed open. I ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup, which she then proceeded to angrily instruct the man to make. Despite the commotion, I ended up with a bowl of soup that tasted almost entirely of vinegar and contained strange, unidentifiable substances that resembled chicken skin and earthworms, with no sign of traditional ingredients like chicken, tofu, vegetables, or mushrooms. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Food used to be good but not anymore. Very greasy, tasteless, had some bugs in my fried rice and was told it was from the wok, served expired can drinks with the date black markered out. Dining area needs to be cleaned salt and pepper shakers and soya sauce bottles extremely dirty. I wished I went to Subway next door. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN ZERO STARS IF I COULD. IF YOU WANT EXCELLENT CHINESE FOOD GO TO FORTUNE COOKING ON ELLICE AVE AND ST. JAMES BY THE BRICK.
