Yuki Sushi - Winnipeg

It has taken me a while to try Yuki Sushisomething about a sushi restaurant located in the McLaren Hotel felt out of place.

To be fair I will note that I do not eat ANY fish or seafood. But I adore vegetarian sushi, and none so much as Yuki Sushi. Their veggie options simply burst with flavour. I also generally pick up a chicken teriyaki roll. Again amazing. And tempura veggies, wow. They are located in the Maclaren Hotel but the space has been renovated to a level of charming retro-chic. Give this place a chance, you will not be sorry.

Worst sushi place in the world. I will never come back here. Food was not fresh. My tuna roll tasted like mold. Portions are tiny and prices are high. Sitting at the counter bar watching wife and husband make lunch for you was unappealing. Wife made miso soup in a dirty pot. And didn't even clean the dishes with soap. Just rinsed with water. How this place passed for inspection is beyond me. No bathroom. You have to leave the sushi place and share a bathroom in an old grungy bar. Where you have to ask the bartender for toilet paper. I had to hold it in the entire time. My mom and I have been to many sushi places around the city. But never had this worst of an experience. Should a gone for dimsum down the street

We went here for a dinner with friends and business associates. The quality of the food was good. Everything was very tasty. They were a little understaffed when we arrived, so the service was initially slow. But once more staff arrived, everything went well. Next time I'm in Winnipeg I would certainly consider trying them again.
