The Golden Frog - Winona

A storm had sent people to the house shortly before our arrival, so the waiting time for the food was somewhat longer than usual. The waiting staff we had was friendly and efficient. The kitchen staff made a mistake on our order, and our server was appologetic and offers free dessert. A pleasant place to eat. Our meal was well prepared and tasted good. Guests around us sounded satisfied with their food. The restroom was clean and in good repair.

At the Golden Frog for dinner during the night in the area. It seemed as if they had met with a larger than expected crowd and they did the best they could. Our waiter was very apologetic for slow service, which we honestly did not even notice. Some dishes came from order due to kitchen problems, but everything was hot, tasteful and well presented. Portions are more than fair for the prices and service was better than the waiter felt he provided and apologized. We are more than excited to return. The cheese curds were hot and well prepared with a larger than expected part. Clam Chowder was hot and tasteful with a beautiful mix of ingredients. The part of Walleye was big and the sides were good. I ordered the Tenderloin Tips with mushrooms along with a page of Frog Legs. The steak was prepared on request and the part was well presented. The legs were as expected and hot and well broken. I'd order her again. The Golden Frog is on our list to visit safely.

Super fast service. didn't have to wait long for your food. everything was delicious and warm.. Server was friendly and attentive. definitely stop again when in the city.

Simply the best! Great bar and grill for all occasions! Especially, if you're on the river looking for a place to eat or grab a drink. In my opinion some of the best cheese curds around too! Highly recommend taking the time to check this place out!
