We were asking about a local business we were looking for: the waitress came back with their phone number. Excellent fresh warm rolls. My husband's fish sandwich was oppulent with fresh fish. The unimpressive hamburger roll was burnt and too wimpy to hold the fish. He said the fish with tarter sauce was very good. The baked haddock was beautifully presented. Tasted bitter and was raw inside but I was too hungry to ask the waitress to bring it back fo finish baking it. The seasoning was over salted. The broccoli was a little rubbery. The Gallagher Fries (potatoe wedges) were the best part of my meal! I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere out on the deck and the waitrwesses. We've eaten here before and will come again.
The best fried clams I’ve tasted in years! I’ve been on the lookout for those big, juicy clams from my childhood, and I finally found them here! They’re bursting with flavor and covered in a light, crispy batter. The shrimp and scallops are also fantastic, and the fries are cooked to perfection. My only minor complaint would be that the coleslaw is a bit dry and lacks flavor. But honestly, with those incredible clams, who cares? Absolutely delicious!
Holy Crustaceans, Batman! This was the BEST lobster roll in Maine. After a 10-day adventure along the East Coast, this was my final stop, and what a fantastic finale it was. They absolutely nailed the cooking of the seafood—scallops, shrimp, mussels, and, best of all, the lobster. A huge shoutout to the talented chefs! Our waitress, Brogen, was exceptional and particularly wonderful with little kids. Plus, the view of the water was a wonderful bonus. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
This classic Maine seafood restaurant offers a fantastic outdoor seating experience right along the Kennebec River. While the place could use a little modernization, it has its own unique charm. I've enjoyed some wonderful dinners here, along with a few that were just average. Tonight, I ordered baked stuffed haddock and steamers to go, which I enjoyed on my dock while watching the sunset. Both dishes were excellent! If you’re in the area, this spot is definitely worth checking out. It’s quintessential seafood in Maine, right by the river, with a great local atmosphere!
Very good very friendly didn't try the lobster. Unfortunately I didn't have a lobster option that was available to add on to a meal. Either had to have lobster or something else as an entree. I'll have to come back and try the lobster next time. Add on! The night after I eat this meal I was awoken with horrible nausea. I almost felt like trying to make myself vomit. I think I got sick from the clams. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think I'm going to eat here again.
