The menu is eclectic with Southwestern influences, offering something for everyone. My favorite dishes included the Bison short ribs and the renowned black bean and corn chowder. The crepes for breakfast were exceptional and not overly sweet. In the morning, we sat by the window and enjoyed watching the trains pass by. The staff was both extraordinarily friendly and professional. Be sure to stop by the Martini Bar before your dinner; the cocktails are unique, and they take their craft seriously. I even had an impromptu lesson on how to make a proper Old Fashioned! Staying at La Posada and dining in the Turquoise Room was truly a unique experience, and we learned a great deal about the history of both the hotel and Winslow. It was a delightful surprise. Initially, we came to Winslow to "Stand on a Corner," but we discovered so much more. We can’t wait for our next visit!
Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere make this restaurant truly exceptional, located in a fabulous hotel. The soup and salad were both outstanding. The signature soup has been a staple here since the restaurant opened in the 1930s. The salad was also excellent, and our friendly server happily shared recommendations. If you're traveling along Route 66/I-40, it's definitely worth taking the time to stop and enjoy a relaxing meal in this great setting. The hotel itself is remarkable and worth a visit.
We drove to the meteorite crater and decided to stop for a quick meal. What a delightful surprise! The restaurant has a great vibe, and the service was excellent. I ordered the corn and bean soup with cornbread, and it was fantastic. My husband tried the tacos, and he enjoyed them as well. We'll definitely return when we're in the area again.
Great experience that makes lunch here yesterday. We could sit in the lobby and bring our pet. Our server, Erin, was such a pleasure, and made sure that we had an amazing experience and were well looked after, even if we were not in the main restaurant. The complementary maize bread with a caramelized glaze was the best I have ever eaten (picture). Ordered the Calamari for a starter and it was perfectly kicked, with ancillary sauce that had a tasty little zing without being overpowered (picture). I had the turkey sandwich on sourdough for lunch, which was absolutely tasty, and finished my meal with a beautiful cream brulee and cappuccino (picture). I recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food and excellent service, including pet-friendly amenities. Thank you.
We stayed at the La Posada Hotel so we decided to try the restaurant out. It was a very good choice. The Crispy Fried Calamari was delicious. The Signature Soup is a creamy sweet corn and spicy black bean. It was so good we ordered another one. We were there for 2 nights and we went there 3 times. It was that good. We tried the Wild Wild Platter, Buffalo New York Strip, ribeye medallions. There are really no other good food around and this place is a gem of Winslow.
