Carmine Italian - Winston-Salem

I had never dined here before, but I visited last night with family and friends to celebrate my father's retirement. The waitstaff were friendly and professional, and the food was excellent. The bread served before dinner was delicious and plentiful! I ordered the angel hair pasta with eggplant parmigiana, and I absolutely loved it!

We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, a classic way to test the quality of an Italian restaurant’s sauce, as it is the foundation of their cuisine. We also tried the Stromboli and some Tiramisu. The Stromboli was cooked to perfection and came in a generous portion. The spaghetti was cooked just right, and the sauce had an ideal balance of flavor and depth. We decided to take two Tiramisu desserts to go, even though we were no longer hungry, simply because we wanted to see if Carmines could deliver on this classic dessert. Later that night, we enjoyed the Tiramisu and were blown away—it was fantastic. Overall, this restaurant is a gem. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere reminded me of the Italian restaurants I frequented while growing up in New York. I plan to visit at least once a week as long as I live here to try everything on the menu. Do yourself a favor and check it out today!

My sister and I visited the restaurant for the first time after church two weeks ago, and it was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, and the food was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. Everything, from the pasta to the sauce, was made from scratch. If you're in search of authentic Italian cuisine, this is the spot for you.

Found this place and loved him! The staff is wonderful, the ambience is cozy, the restaurant is clean, the bathroom is immaculate, and above all they have a nice selection of dishes to order and the food is excellent. I am Italian and it is quite difficult for me to find an Italian place to eat that I really enjoy, and this place exceeded my expectations. It's a place where I would even bring my pops, and he's more a sticker when it comes to Italian food than me. We look forward to our next visit to try something new. Add to the cook!

The BEST Italian food anywhere in this area. Large servings and homemade deserts! How can you beat that!!! Just ate there this evening. Eloise had Shrimp Saporito, one of there specials. She told Carmine that this was the BEST food she had ever eaten. I had the cannelloni, a meal I had not tried before. It was great!! As I said before, the BEST Italian food in this area!!!
