I had the slightly spiced laughs. it was perfect. came with an salad before the meal. great. my nabeby has the fried flounder and garnel. he said it was delicious. the next time he would decide to try another side against the Cole stole. we're coming back!
I would rather this about a 3.7 right now. Had dinner here with my wife on the second day they were open. I feel they have a good value for the money but there is room for improvement. The establishment is very well lit and very open. The waitress we had and the staff we talked to were all super friendly. The improvement part would be the way the food was cooked. The fried was a little off. Seemed like the fryer temp was too high. The outside seemed to be over cooked while the inside was still slightly mushy on some things. We do plan on returning and I expect they will improve
Taylor our server was excellent! There was another male employee that kept walking around tables like he was waiting on them, but he wasn’t a server. We had to tell him to leave our table. The appetizer shrimp which was like a Bam Bam Shrimp were breaded, but soggy tiny. My husband ordered the Shrimp trio meal that had Coconut Shrimp, Broiled Shrimp Popcorn Shrimp. He enjoyed it. I ordered the Brisket. It was cold bland. It only tasted more like a piece of bad roast meat. The slaw is awful. It has no taste whatsoever. Okra was cooked great, but lacked flavor, sweet potato casserole was great. The food overall needed more seasoning the food needs to be hot. I don’t see myself going back. There is nothing that stood out, that I would crave and say I want to go back for more. Honky Tonk beats their brisket hands down the seafood is no different or better than the little Greek diners in Winston Clemmons.
Brand new restaurant! Loved the food, the decor and the service. We ate seafood on our first visit and look forward to going back very soon for the smoked meats!
We were so impressed with the atmosphere, the service, and the friendliness of the hostesses and waitstaff! My wife had the fish and chips and I had the flounder and popcorn shrimp with fried okra……absolutely awesome! I’m going back this week to try the barbecue. If it’s as good as the seafood, there’s no question this is going to be one of our weekly “go-to” restaurants. If you’re a hater, keep in mind this is their 2nd day in operation, so give them a chance to settle in.
