I placed my order on 11/19/20 for chicken and broccoli without rice, extra broccoli, and the sauce on the side. The pick-up process was quick and easy. The sauce was different than I expected, and I later realized it was not soy sauce but a brown sauce, which was not suitable for my keto diet. This was my first time dining in at this restaurant, and I noticed the presence of homeless individuals near the entrance. Some would ask for money once and others were more persistent. I usually do not carry cash, so I informed them of this. Despite the location and brief interaction with the homeless individuals, the food was tasty and the restaurant had COVID-19 safety measures in place.
Eat in new yorker style. real real hole in the wall. crazy people come and go, but was relatiw safe. order sweet and acidic chicken with pork fried rice and crab won tones. everything was in front of place, except for rice was yellow? but good pieces. had to ask no farmers, not carrots. if the addition of cut thin tweepers, drench sprouts, ie and green tweepers also it would have been a 5 stars. no place to hang up. just out. will be back. eierrolle needs less carrots. and cooked longer.
The Mr. Lu Experience Call-in/Pick-up Edition). I wanted Chinese food on this day, and Mr. Lu was down the street. Now I usually frequent Mr. Lu on Robinhood road, but this location was near. So I called in and ordered their lunch broccoli and garlic sauce with vegetable fried rice. The individual who took my order was pleasant and gave me a ten-minute wait time. Once arriving at the restaurant, my food was ready, and I was out the door in no time. However, once prepared to eat, I noticed a piece of black hair on the side of the food container. I thought the hair was in between the lid of the food, but it was on the outside. While eating, I kept looking for hair in my broccoli or rice, but it appeared ok. The food tasted ok, and I couldn't help but think about the hair as I was eating. Would I go back to Mr. Lu? I am unsure because the area is not the safest and people loiter outside the establishment. The hair thing messed me up and had me paranoid while eating. When I want Mr. Lu, there is only one Mr. Lu I will frequent, the Robinhood location.
The quality of the food has declined. I understand that restaurants can have off days, but after the third time, I've had enough. The food was unpleasant and the customer service was terrible. Why do we keep supporting them with our money? They are only still open because of us. No thanks, goodbye Mr. Lu.
