When we arrived in 1730, the door was closed. We wanted to go as a young woman opened her. You and a girl laugh. They said they were playing jokes on their staff and forget to unlock the door. We should have left. The ducks were terrible. Every bite of crab cake had bowl pieces. A medium rare steak came out in a medium-heavy manner. My daughter's beer was hot. She said they just filled the cooler and the next one would be cold. She asked for another cold glass and got a dirty one. Hands down the worst culinary experience
Had a day trip to Winston Salem about a year ago and this place was highly recommended so I stopped for lunch. The terrace is amazing and there are many seating inside and outside. The food here is undoubtedly delicious and you get a lot of it. One of the best lunch I had and some of the best roasted green tomatoes. Will be back.
Took my wife to the restaurant for her birthday with my mom. Had been there 3 years ago and it was great than. Tonight went hill quick. My wife ordered a bottle of wine and I had already two beers by the time her wine came. The appetizer was great and our waitress was inexperienced, scallops were over priced when for $38 you get three scallops. Our waitress didn?t know to remove the empty dishes before bringing our dessert. My dessert still had the wrapping around it. I will not return.
Willow?s has been recommended to us several times, and for good reason! The atmosphere is very eclectic, warm and inviting. It felt comfortable right from the beginning and the food was fantastic. We had the fried green tomato tower and the baked Brie. Both were delicious, and I?m typically not one for fried green tomatoes. The presentation was well executed and the flavors were expressive. All in all this place can stand toe to toe with the ?nice? restaurants in town, and do so while being completely unpretentious and relaxed. I highly recommend Willow?s Bistro if you haven?t had a chance to try it. P.S. The fried green tomato tower was much bigger, 8 or so slices. It smelled so good we forgot to snap a picture before we dug in.
