Holiday Buffet By Sunspot - Winter Park

Good eating and fun experience for a special occasion, but definitiw expensive. our four-headed family rode the gondola to the top of the mountain for silvester, which was exciting and new for our daughter. the choice of the food was tender when you looked at the price, but we had a great time.

Amazing Christmas buffet. the main rib and the truthahn were completely amazing. the service would have been faster in the sight of refills and get the check, but it has not disturbed me at the end. nothing beats the blueberry cheesecake for dessert!

We ate to Christmas. we did this holiday. we had the best rib that was super hard and little taste. the supplements were good. the desserts were very limited (optional) and there was nothing chocolate that tasted good. the worst part, although the restaurant was left. wind gusts were so strong that they had to shut down the gondola system and use snowcat vehicles to transport families. they had only 2 snowcat vehicles, each of which were 13. each journey on the mountain lasted 30 minutes, so that several families lasted for hours. now I understand that weather emergencies will happen, but what made this even worse was the complete lack of communication from the restaurant manager. it was chaos that tried to get a place on the vehicles to go, and the workers were frustrated because the manager would not make a decision about how to distribute tickets for the driving on the mountain. we will not go back here and can not recommend it to others.

We chose the menu holiday dinner at $80/plate and not the holiday buffet. that was a four-course menu. but both the suppe and the main dish were served only lukewarm. also the rib eye was very fat and boiled (ordered it med-rare). for the price I would have expected a better attention to these details of the köchen. overall, much overpriced for the meal we receive.

Overall good food and atmosphere. The service was marginal. It seemed a little bit overpriced and said non alcohol drinks were included on the buffet but charged us anyway.
