Additionally, the entry door did not seal properly, with a gap large enough to slide my hand and a sandal beneath it. This resulted in us hearing everything happening in the hallway, including conversations, which made it difficult for us to sleep. It didn’t feel very private knowing that anyone passing by could overhear us. I suspect this also contributed to issues with the room's cooling, as it never seemed to cool down to the temperature indicated on the thermostat; I’d be surprised if it ever dropped below 74°F. I’ve experienced quieter rooms in budget cruise ships during spring break. When I mentioned these issues at checkout, the front desk did not offer any compensation and merely said they would submit a report to their engineering department. It’s unfortunate because if the rooms provided even a basic level of privacy, the experience would have been much nicer. Ultimately, we wouldn’t return, as the hotel fails to offer the fundamental requirement of a place to sleep comfortably. However, it might be a great venue for events.
I explained that I made the reservation on August 7th and subsequently called the front desk to confirm everything was in order, specifically mentioning that it was for an anniversary celebration. The employee I spoke with assured me that the details had been noted on our reservation. Unfortunately, the front desk staff did not honor this agreement or offer a resolution. Instead, they focused more on identifying which staff member was on duty that day. They offered us the option to pay an additional $60 for the champagne, which we declined. Instead, they sent a small box of three chocolates to the room. Additionally, my parents were charged $25 for valet service on the final bill. Overall, while the hotel itself is beautiful, I left feeling disappointed with the service we received.
Rooms: The newly renovated accommodations were stunning. Nearby activities: Just a block or two away, there are plenty of great options to explore. Noteworthy details: The garden and lobby are absolutely beautiful.
The website doesn't provide clear information about parking, but the staff was very helpful in explaining it upon our arrival. The hotel itself is lovely, with spacious and well-furnished rooms. The staff is friendly and attentive. The lounge area is also quite pleasant, and the location is convenient, close to Park Avenue with its numerous restaurants and shops. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay in Winter Park.
I was truly impressed by this hotel and the exceptional service it offers. It's gorgeous, impeccably clean, and the rooms are spacious. Everyone I interacted with provided outstanding service. The location was ideal for me, as I could easily walk to Park Ave, which has fantastic shops and dining options. I'm contemplating relocating my business, and that's why I came to explore Winter Park.
