Brewers Fayre Burleydam - WIRRAL

Went for Sunday lunch carvery, stood in queue waiting for veg for nearly 15 mins, staff member just strolled in with one dish then went back for another dish ect this happened about 4 times, then he started carving meat by which time we had been in small queue of about 6 people for 15 mins. After getting lunch found there was no sauces apple mint or otherwise( he'd taken empty ones out but no new ones) place wasn't even full. Server was miserable and food mediocre, roasties were cremated but plenty of meat given. We won't be going back on a Sunday, it just seems young staff can't cope very well and no sign of anyone managing them. We weren't the only ones complaining.

Went for a midweek meal with the family. Such friendly happy staff, and the food was lovely. Special mention to Liv who was especially helpful and always smiling!

So today I had my daughters 7th birthday party and it was the worst experience IV ever had IV never felt so upset in my life I booked here thinkin we got everything that was in the party package well guess what how wrong was I!! No party host no party bags us parents had to give out the food we was just left the whole time! My daughter was upset the fact that how they never even wished her happy birthday we was left to do everything absolutely shocking then to find the lady that was so called our party host sat down on her phone! No cutlery was given out party room was not set up and we had to ask for the TV to be switched on. Iv never felt so let down especially on my daughter birthday there was no crafts set out as what was in party package. I took a stand and refused to pay the full remaining balance but I'm not letting this go they destroyed the day when this was meant to be special. But to not even come with the cake to wish my daughter a happy birthday absolutely finished it for me!! The free passes that we was meant to get with party package again was missed off too til we asked were they was there reply was we don't have them in stock even though they had 2 months to order these in. Not one staff member come into party room to make sure everything was ok and us parents had to clear the plates off the table as nobody else could be bothered to.help. this is the worst experience ever and I can promise you IL Never come back. Save yourselfs the heartache IV gone through today. Hope the hang ther heads in shame absolute shambles

Could tell place was short staffed but those that were in working were doing an excellent job in trying circumstances. I asked why they had no staff and was told due to unplanned absences on the day. All staff running around working as a team especially when the que to order hit the main door. Those moaning should be ashamed.

Went for a catch-up with friends having been to your establishment plenty of times and loving it. However you let yourselfs down with the quality of service and food. There was missing items of our mains , to which we weren 't told when ordering . When the food arrived at our table we didn 't immediately realise something was missing. To which I had to walk around the restaurant to find a waitress. Only to be told oh we 've got no garlic bread so I wasn 't offered a substitute for the missing food I had to ask what they had to replace it. On my meal I ordered the mixed grill , which was lovely except for the rump steak which was one massive lump of inedible fat but we 'd had enough at this point and just wanted our experience here to be over. Hopefully this is just a small blip and not the future as I would like to come back.
