Even had a competent crab salad and I had to start the vongole. as above, beautiful al dente pasta, generous with the muscheln (French) and a chili-kick. I then had the Sicilian carne, the thin rump steaks was...read more
Regarding the restaurant da piero in irby, weral, I went there yesterday (Monday), but it was closed. So I made the booking for tonight, but after reading the veggie and vegan menus I had a few asking. they have parmesan on the veggie menu so I asked if it was a vegetarian parmesan to which she told me it was not vegetarian. So, I suggested that why not they label it so that it says not veggie, but that didn't go too well as she said she had customers who are vegetarian who eat it. she also said she has vegetarian customers eating fish. then I wondered if the weeping in the vegan dressing was actually vegan and she said they couldn't guarantee it...read more
Chris weral. I have recently eaten in da piero in irby and would consider this to be the best Italian food in the wirral and merseyside area. the restaurant is guided by a man and woman team and piero, the Sicilian and the chef sources as much as possible from italy. there were complaining that it is expensive and not in the position to book too time that people want, but this is unfounded in my opinion. this is a tiny restaurant with only 20 strange covers and due to its size and popularity they can only fit people when tables are available. when they book in advance, they are always accredited. in price this can not be on levels English the people are in...read more
Fantastic. da piero is the best restaurant on the Wirral, with its excellent cuisine, it is fantastic staff and it is unique atmosphere that it cannot be adapted. it is the jewel in irby village, all the prizes it has won are more than deserved. However, the booking is of essential importance, because the personal was more and more than accumulated and flexible. da piero is my little taste of italia, with carefully produced products, weeping and authentic Italian decorating it is simply fantastic.
Never eaten there.. I have attempted to book a table here on five occasions but have never been successful. The reason is they will never take a booking for 7.30 pm. They are not prepared to put themselves out for ther diners. Bookings have to be made at a time to suit them.I will not be dictated to by a restaurant and as such I will not be dining there.
