The half crispy duck was excellent, very meaty, the cucumber and spring onion a little wilted but it was takeaway. The main courses were very nice and good portions including a variety of veg not just a lot of onion as some takeaways are. Staff were polite and helpful, everything was ready on time, hot and well cooked.
A few weeks ago, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were impressed with the food, so we decided to go back with friends. We chose a set menu for 4, which was the same as what we had when it was just the two of us. The food was tasty, but there wasn't much more than when it was just the two of us. We felt like we were being ripped off, so we won't be returning again.
We have been visiting the King Wah for many, many years. We celebrated a family birthday here in March 2023 and again the food was plentiful, well-cooked and at a very fair price. The couple who run the restaurant are wonderfully friendly people and deserve the regular business they get. Their evening banquet menu is good value and all cooked well, particularly the crispy Duck and tasty main courses. The decor in the restaurant is pleasant without being over the top and it's rarely busy outside of weekends. It's basically just no frills good, honest food that is hard to fault. We will be back again soon.
Takeaway order..beef dish full of sugar and duck dish was mainly skin and fat covered in a kind of jam sauce..expensive and very disppointing..
