I gave it four stars instead of five for one fairly basic reason. You order at the counter rather than a waiter coming to the table. That's no problem to me and it is easy. However, you also pay when you order. And in addition to the bill, you are immediately asked to click on a as a tip. 15 , 20 , 25 , 30 and so on. Two things for me. Firstly, you haven't had any service at this point so you don't know how the service is going to be so how can you choose a ? Secondly, the lowest I saw on the screen was 15 and I tend to feel there should be on option of nil if the service is poor or 10 which is often the norm. If there is a nil option or a 10 option, I am sorry but I honestly didn't see it and as there was a small queue behind me, it was awkward to get into a discussion with the person on the till at that point. Sadly, I am discussing this small concern when in fact the food and drank was fresh and the service was actually very good. But I suppose it is a bit of a principle and it made me feel very slightly uneasy. Sorry. I would have given it 5 stars ecept for that, it's a good place with good staff.
We visited today for the first time. My husband needed a little bit of TLC. The staff were absolutely brilliant and I can’t thank them enough. Food was good and tea and coffee was excellent. We will be back!
I have visited Nine Leaves many times over the last few years and it is always excellent. Great staff, wonderful food and the Team Menu is outstanding! Plus you can take home tea to brew at home. What more could you want?
Went to the Nine Leaves cafe after reading the reviews however, my friend and I both ordered the quorn sausages as part of our different meals, the sausages were very under cooked in both cases with just a 'thin brown line ' down one side. I don 't mind waiting for food as long as it 's cooked properly, I mean how hard is it to cook a sausage.
Have enjoyed lunch here twice and it’s highly recommended. The decor is very cool and the soups are very nice indeed!
