The welcome, the food, the atmosphere and those horrible table cloths that belong in an English tea rooms! The choice is limited, the food looks unappealing and there's very little of it! And the price is unjustified. Very poor all round and no one particular cares. Such a shame.
We went here for my granddaughters 9th birthday. She had picked this as when she had gone before she always felt special and the owners when on site presented her with a turtle made of fruit. This evening when we arrived we were asked and their was 14 of us what time would would finish our meal as they expected a party of 25 after us. This is not what you expect on arrival. The food was hot and frequently filled up. We had fish cooked to order which was nice and chips, which were disappointingly fries (my pet hate). All starters were of a good standard,, the mains lacking choice mainly consisting of some type of chicken. Foo yung had added onion, cheese and ham as a filling. I asked if we could have the foo yung without the cheese and onion and was told the cook had said no he was too busy, they were getting a party of 25 coming in. Most places we have eaten have taken on board our request happily, but not this place. The party y of 25 were not even arriving when we left. The puddings were not the best. Victoria sponge, cheap Swiss roll that can be purchased in a big slab from the freezer shop next door, jelly which had lumps in and ice cream that was cheap that was very icy. I have eaten here before and requests are looked upon more favourably even when busy when the owners were on site. I have given this an average score as that is what it was tonight. Had the chef been more accommodating it may have got a better score. The bar served Pepsi from a 2 litre bottle which you can get in most supermarkets for just over a pound. 2 large glasses cost us just under £5.
We visited here for a meal because if customers reviews It is the worst chinese buffet we have been to not only did the food look terrible it tasted that way to we ordered chilli beef strips they were sent back they were a joke and we were charged for them ...... I spoke to the young man behind the bar who did only change us our drinks and for one instead of two but really we should only have been charged for drinks that aside please owners take this on board get board quality of food rather than deep fried any way you want. style of food. The name of restraunt could not be further from the truth.
One of the family’s favourite place to eat we go at leased once a month Always a warm welcome food really good and heathy cooked Great place for family’s very child friendly and staff great
We went on a Sunday evening at about 6:45. They say they close around 8pm so we thought that was early enough, but they were clearly winding down. Many of the food containers were empty or nearly empty. By 7:15 some of the staff were leaving. .They did get some ribs when asked, but that isn't really the point. You want to be able to choose from fresh, hot food and that wasn't there. I don't think the food is healthy. It is the usual high fat Hong Kong/Cantonese food. Presumably their claim of healthiness is not using MSG. OK as far as it goes I suppose. The main thing that could be said for this place is that it is cheap. I won't go again.
