I only spent an hour tops just to make the most out of my admission. If you don't look at anything closely and just glance at everything, then it'll take you 10 mins.
There was surprisingly a good amount of root beer items to look at and even a TV playing old root beer commercials to rank through a QR code. The staff member served us four different types of root beer and described the recipes of each one. His excitement about the root beer rubbed off on us, and we even got some to take home.
You can spend as long or as little time here as you want. It was fun to see Root Beer through the ages and how it’s changed over the years with so many different compnies. We loved seeing some Millstream Brewery Root Beer in the Museum since they are mostly local to us and I’ve been enjoying their brews most of my life. I highly recommend doing the root beer flight for whatever they have on tap. I had no idea Root Beer could taste so drastically different and found a new one that I love! Also, get a Root Beer float, it’s a must.
Fun way to spend about an hour or so on the Dells strip. My dad loves to collect pop bottles and drink advertising memorabilia so this was right up his alley. My kids had fun learning about how root beer is made and looking at all of the stuff. They also enjoyed the cheesy old commercials. Yes, people were weird back then too. To top it all off, you can either do a tasting of root beer on tap or grab a bottle to bring home later. For $5, not a bad way to try something different.
If you like root beer, it's a nice place to stop. They let you sample different root beers, little museum in the back of the store, you can get a root beer float and they have an assortment of root beers to purchase. I bought a cooler and they put some ice in it to cool our soda purchases. Young people working were very helpful and friendly.
