Dishes in a combination of delicate Vietnamese gastronomy. very recommended: goi cuon (summer roll with cream) and banh xeo (vietn. pfannkuchen) ... simply fantastic!

Restaurant annexed to the hotel eastside (shared the same structure,) has a large living room and is open practically from mid afternoon until 22.00. the kitchen is Vietnamese with obvious local touches. (you drink beer or wine..which is quite unlikely in Vietnam..maybe beer might be there.) in any case, for an acceptable price, since we are in Swiss, you can dine in an excellent and abundant way with exotic dishes. good service.

We’ve eaten lunch at this restaurant three times in the past few months. It is located at the very northern edge of St. Gallen, bordering on Wittenbach, and is housed in the Hotel Eastside. Parking is a bit tricky as their garage is down the street, underneath apartment buildings, and due to unclear signage it’s hard the first time to know which spaces you can use and how to get back to the restaurant. The hotel management made it quite clear on our first visit that the outside spaces right next to the hotel were not for restaurant patrons. Well!At each of our visits, the restaurant has been practically empty; the friendly waittress informed us that most guests come instead for dinner. There are three daily menu specials, reasonably priced, and you can also order ala carte. Each time we have chosen a set menu. The food is delicious and our only complaint is that in those three times, spaced out over a few months, the menus were always the same. Perhaps with so few guests it’s not worth changing the dishes at lunchtime.One time my colleague had an allergic reaction to an ingredient in the soup – presumably MSG, considering her symptoms of temporary arm and shoulder paralysis and headache – even though she had never experienced this before in other restaurants. For this reason we play it safe and don’t order the soup any more!
