Great Sunday Lunch yesterday... followed by Cheese Club a weekly Sunday evening treat to keep the Monday Blues at bay. Have also tried the 6oz Burgers Yum, and with onion rings that are spectacular...
Was great for the 30 years Bob and Pauline Sapsford ran it and looking good under the new management of Andy and Ros. Smaller menu but nicely prepared to order.
I've eaten at the red lion several times with colleagues. Recently we went just before the ownership changed hands. Because of this, I'm unsure how much will change, including drinks, food menu, staff. Thus, I shall look to review again under new management
Fair. Rooms, especially the bathrooms in dire need of a complete renewal-old wallpapers falling off, uneven sink, etc.Comfy king size bed. Small telly, yet flat and with a remote in working condition. Outdated windows-won't close properly. Poor ventilation.Other than that breakfasts maybe not the biggest, nonetheless freshly prepared to a reasonable order.Friendly hosts.Place simply needs investing some funds in an update. Rural, peaceful surroundings
