Strega Italiano – Woburn

We came with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived early but the restaurant accommodated us, which was nice. All in all, the service was slow. Our water glasses were filled but it seemed to take a long time before we were asked what we wanted to drink. We then had to ask for a wine list. When we ordered, one of the selected entrees was not available. I understand that can happen but it should be mentioned when the menus are presented. The appetizers were fine. The meals came and then the sides about minutes later. The chicken piccata was OK but the pasta served with it was lukewarm and sticky. My husband’s steak was overdone. Our guests said their entrees were good (swordfish and salmon). Only two of three sides came. They explained they were out of whipped potatoes. Harder to understand that and, again, that should be mentioned at the beginning. Without us asking, we were comped two desserts for the inconvenience which was nice. All in all a disappointing meal. I think the ownership change has really impacted the entire experience-fewer menu selections, no sommelier, lackluster service. Probably our last visit

This was a wonderful experience. Went for a birthday celebration. The food, service, ambiance was great. It is pricey, but for a special occasion it is well worth it. This will be our annual birthday celebration location

The food, dishes should have been better but both my wife and i struggled to enjoy our dinners. No specials on a Saturday night... odd. Odd matches for great/classic entrees. Salmon can be served with many things, but on a gross bed of drenched, limp, saturated lettuce (Escarole) with only Canonelli beans ruined it. Unnecessary. Wife's dinner (gnocci scallops) had all sorts of extra stuff that ruined hers as well. It was hit or miss. Lobster ravioli's were fantastic. Dessert chocolate tort was tremendous. Tried too hard to be hip/creative and strayed from taste good food

From the minute we walked through the door, the staff was outstanding and very attentive. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff and even the manager were excellent. Our food was fabulous as always. This is probably our or time going here. We love it. We tend to go for special occasions. It can be a bit pricey but when it's a celebration it is a great place to go!
