Pizzeria Davinci - Woerth am Rhein

Was there with the whole family, kids, grandkids. All together 11 people. Had a great time with very deliciousfresh prepared food. Salads and Pizzas were very tasty.

To bring a nice finish to our family holiday in Germany we went to this restaurant chosen based on good food experienced by other family members. What an experience. We waited 2 hrs for our orders to arrive. To pacify our growing impatience and hunger one would have expected the owner to make a gesture of serving at least some bread with butter or olive oel during this long and unacceptable waiting time. After inquiring why the long wait and assuming the place to be understaffed (after all it was after Xmas) the answer of the owner was not apologetic, to the contrary it was rather arrogant and aggressive citing the arrival of all the patrons at once. Since a table can be had only by reservation the management of taking reservations and serving the orders in an acceptable time is rather poor. Once our food arrived after 2hrs we were pleasantly surprised because it was excellent in taste and presentation. All 8 dishes. I felt the need to compliment the owner (also our server) about the good taste but never having experienced such a long waiting time, OMG, I got an earfull of saying that everything is home made and if we want food out of cans and packages we are at the wrong place and we should not be so impatient. WELL, this reaction to a patron is unbelievable, it is arrogant and very poor customer service. Needless to say the evening was ruined. If you like good italian food and don't mind to wait and be treated like it is a privilege to eat there and not to open your mouth to avoid arrogant and insulting remarks , go ahead.
