Oakingham Belle - Wokingham

The oakingham belle is a regular destination for my partner and our friends. whether lunch, drinks (and snack) or dinner, the atmosphere and service disappoint never!

The menu was excellent, and the service was very helpful overall. I especially appreciated how the waitress interacted comfortably and respectfully with my friend, who has learning disabilities. It's always heartwarming to see people do things right! I did wonder why the sausage and mac were no longer on the menu, as they would have been my mother's first choice. But honestly, I have no complaints—just gratitude for a job well done!

I made an online reservation while we were on our way, just in case the restaurant was busy, and I received immediate confirmation. I stopped by for lunch with a friend to pick up some food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered fish and chips and a burger with chips, both of which were quite tasty. The portion sizes were suitable for a lunch meal, but since they came from the main menu, I would feel a bit disappointed if I had chosen this as my main meal for the day, especially considering the price of around £15 each. It felt a bit pricey for me.

You would never guess it’s a new pub. It’s thoughtfully designed, spacious, and welcoming. There’s great outdoor seating, although it’s not really a suitable place for children to run around. The food surpassed my expectations and was genuinely delightful. The total bill came to £72 for four meals and four soft drinks.
