Jo Greens Garden Cafe - WOLFEBORO

I don't understand why this restaurant has received negative reviews. The waitress was very friendly, the view of the lake from the deck was stunning, and the prices were quite reasonable. They offer daily specials, so I ordered the whole belly clam pasta for $12.95 and added shrimp for an additional $5. The food was delicious!

Surprised by the low rating. My dining experience was fantastic, with a delicious meal, generous portions, and attentive service.

I don't understand all the complaints. This place was nice and the food was even better. The portions were sufficient even with the Smart Size options. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the menu was good. The crab cakes were made fresh daily and the fish and chips were generous. The drinks were not watered down at all. The view during lunch was amazing. This restaurant is a must-visit in the area. Previous reviews were not fair. I asked others leaving how their experience was and the response was delicious. This place definitely deserves 4 stars. I will definitely be coming back.

I believe this restaurant has the best view of the lake for enjoying a meal. It is possibly the only place in Wolfeboro where you can dine outside on a deck with a view of the water. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options for a small restaurant. The service was excellent and the outdoor atmosphere was pleasant.

Two stars for poor customer service. We come to Jo Greens somewhat regularly during the summer. We came in on a Saturday afternoon in August at 2:00pm. The restaurant was empty, the main outside deck was full. There was a 10 to 15 minute wait so we put our name in and the hostess suggested we go upstairs to the upper deck for a drink. We went up there. There was not one patron. We informed the bartender that we had put our name on the main deck wait list. We informed him our table would be ready in 10 minutes. We asked if we could play one game of pool while we wait (the balls were out and the pool room was empty). He said it would be $8.00 for the hour. I told him we couldn 't justify that because we only had ten minutes before the table was ready. He said okay ... We asked for a drink menu... they didn 't have one. So we sat around and twiddled our thumbs for 15 minutes and now Jo Greens has one additional 2 star review. Lesson here? When a group of polite customers, who are about to give your restaurant business, make a reasonable request accommodate them! P.S. Next time we come here we are going to make the same request. If the staff doesn 't accommodate the request then it 's clear they don 't read these reviews or don 't care. Next time we will just walk out...
