Aunt Sally's - Wolverhampton

I had to give 1 circle to allow me to write this review, however I would have given absolutely nothing. If you want real West Indian food, go to Handworth as we only came here because they were closed. Food was bland, chicken boiled with some thrown in oil and chilly. I had to add salt to the rice give me microwaved uncle bens any day over this. kfc/or even a Maccies. Save your money, or only go in for a bottled drink.

Ordered the hake which was extremely greasy, dumpling and rice were okay, slightly odd taste. Mutton was cooked perfectly and chicken coco bread was good. Quick service.

Im not one to write reviews, im a very easy going person but this was just p*s s taking.The food is nasty. It's an absolute disappointment and as a Jamaican I guarantee this is not a good representation. I like supporting my culture/ppl but I got to be honest. I bought the oxtail, rice and peas and fried plantains. The food comes in one box and is a dark poo looking puddle swallowing the rice. The oxtail is tough. Absolutely leather and tasteless and the rice also not cooked well, really tough. The plantain is burnt and just a saggy oily mess. For £17.00(including 2.50 delivery) what a waste, shouldn't pay even a £1. Tasteless and unappetizing. I'm gonna bin it. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

A day agoNEW I used the services of Aunt Sally 's yesterday for the first time and was absolutely blown away. I pre ordered 20 meals that were delivered to a local pub for a socially distanced 'wake '. I 'd discussed with 'Aunt Sally 's ' daughter Yvette our needs, she was amazing, so understanding of our Covid restrictive needs and promised to go out her way to make our day special. Yvette kept her promise. We had individual large trays that contained Jerk Chicken/Curry Goat, Boneless Hake or Vegetable Curry, Rice n Peas, Fried Plantain, Fried Dumpling, Steamed Veg, Coleslaw and Salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal, they were really impressed. The food arrived on time, hot and well presented. I have never used the takeaway but would highly recommend their catering service.

We placed order by phone, they had no mutton or hard food! We amended our order. It was delivered with a meal missing. We had to wait hour and half for the missing meal to arrive....the vegetables were missing and the cake was wrong. Most of the food was tasty, but the poor service and lack of variety was a huge let down.
